Receives 300 Million KRW Over 3 Years to Conduct Research on Personal Records Preservation, Utilization, and Human-AI Interaction Design
A research project led by Professor Lin Wang of the Department of Library and Information Science at Incheon National University has been selected for the 2026 Core Research Type B initiative supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
This study focuses on how personal daily records and information can evolve beyond simple accumulation into meaningful memories and valuable resources.
The study holds significant academic value as it bridges the metadata and archival perspectives of library and information science with HCI-based interface design and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). Furthermore, the selection of this project highlights the expansion of the Department of Library and Information Science at National Incheon University into vital research and educational domains necessary for future information environments, including records management, data curation, and AI-driven information service design.
Professor Lin Wang stated, "Library and information science can play a vital role beyond traditional libraries and archives into new information environments where data and AI converge. Through this research, I hope to offer directions for records management and human-centered AI service design tailored to the personal data era."
