On February 27th, Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) and iSTART were selected as the implementation agency of the "5th Marine Port Logistics Specialist Training Project (2025-2029)".
The "Heading Port Logistics Specialist Training Project" is a five-year project co-organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Maritime Institute. In the fifth project, 12 institutions were selected to operate "Performance-based Advanced Human Resources Training Course" that supports master's and doctoral courses, "Customized Practical Training Course" that supports internship opportunities for young college students through university-business linkage.
The iSTART consists of Incheon National University's Department of Northeast Asia International Trade and Logistics and the Graduate School of Northeast Asia Logistics. With the support of Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Port Corporation, the project will be carried out with the aim of fostering talented people who will lead the digital and eco-friendly transformation and innovation of the global shipping and port logistics industry for five years from 2025 to 2029. To this end, it plans to develop customized training courses for shipping and port logistics, hold competitions in related fields, and operate internship courses for domestic and foreign companies during the project period.
