The "Big Data Analysis Project Performance Report" organized by Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) Haksan Library was successfully completed at the Haksan Library on February 12, 2025. This presentation was organized to share the achievements of big data analysis projects to improve library services and discuss data-based innovation plans.

The performance report, which was held for members of Incheon National University, was attended by officials from Incheon National University's Haksan Library and data analysis club D.A.L. (Data Analytics for a Library, advisor Kim Kyu-hwan).

Starting with the report on the current status of the △ Haksan Library operation program, △ Analysis of the results of satisfaction with the use of the two-room facility and application of improvements △ Data analysis and improvement on the recommended book selection system △ The selection of recommended books by department through loan data analysis were also discussed. In addition, △ Data-Based Library Service Innovation Plan and △ Haksan Library and Data Analysis Club D.A.L. were mainly discussed.

D.A.L. team leader (Park Ji-yeon) said, "This project was a meaningful experience to analyze actual data and contribute to the improvement of library services," adding, "It was meaningful to be able to find ways to increase the satisfaction of library users based on the practical data analysis process and derived results beyond simple theoretical study." In addition, Lee Da-bok, a student who worked on the project to analyze the satisfaction of using the Irumgwan facility, said, "It was rewarding to be able to visualize major inconveniences as data and suggest practical improvement directions based on the feedback from the room user," and expressed his feelings that the analysis results are actually reflected to create a better learning space.

Yoon Young-don, head of Haksan Library, said, "Through big data analysis, we were able to set the direction of library service improvement more objectively, and we plan to increase the satisfaction of library users and expand customized services in the future by actively utilizing data analysis." The analysis results and improvement measures of this "Big Data Analysis Project" can be found at the "Big Data Analysis Project Results Exhibition" currently held at the Convergence Hall on the first floor of Haksan Library, and the exhibition period is until the 28th (Friday) of this month.
