Reserve Forces Organization Information
Overview
The University Reserve Forces Unit is organized for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, and staff members of the University who are subject to reserve forces service.

Persons Subject to Reserve Forces Organization
- Undergraduate students currently enrolled at the University who have completed active-duty or supplementary service
* Excludes students who have exceeded the standard period of study due to a double major, minor, course retake, postponed graduation, or repetition of an academic year - Graduate students currently enrolled at the University who have completed active-duty or supplementary service
* Excludes students enrolled in special, research, or management programs - Faculty members and staff members currently employed by the University (Excludes part-time lecturers and research assistants)
- University employees who are subject to reserve forces organization, including voluntary applicants
Organization Period
- Enlisted Personnel who have completed active-duty or supplementary service : From the day following discharge or release from service through December 31 of the eighth year after discharge or release
- Officers and Noncommissioned Officers : Through December 31 of the year in which the applicable mandatory retirement age(Staff Sergeant: Age 40, Second Lieutenant through Captain: Age 43, Sergeant First Class and Major: Age 45, Master Sergeant and Lieutenant Colonel: Age 53) is reached

Application for Reserve Training Exemption

| Method | Applicants may submit an application through the online Reserve Forces website with the required documents attached, or visit the University Reserve Forces Regiment and complete an exemption application form. Undergraduate and graduate students are granted exemption directly by the University Reserve Forces Regiment based on their academic records. |
| Required Documents | Faculty members must submit a Certificate of Employment issued by the head of the institution, namely the President of the University. |
Application to Postpone Reserve Training

Updating Personal Information Following a Change in Personal Details
- Eligible Persons : Reserve force members assigned to the Incheon National University Reserve Forces Regiment, including undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and staff members, and administrative assistants
- When an Update Is Required : When there is a change to the member’s name, resident registration number, telephone number, including mobile phone number, or email address
- How to Update : Update the information directly through the online Reserve Forces website or contact the Reserve Forces Regiment office by phone to request an update.

Students on a leave of absence, dismissed students, and students repeating an academic year are not eligible for reduced training hours.
In particular, returning students and transfer students who failed to attend a second supplementary training session assigned by the local reserve forces unit having jurisdiction over their place of residence must complete all previously missed training even after returning to the University or transferring to the University.

Training Location and Schedule
- Training Location : Michuhol-gu, Jung-gu, and Yeonsu-gu Reserve Forces Training Center (Gwangyo-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon)

Training Notifications
Training information is provided through University portal notices, banners, SMS messages, email, and other channels.
Reporting to the Training Center
- Participants must report individually to the training center by 9:00 a.m. on the training date. Entry is not permitted after 9:00 a.m.
- Transportation Information : Refer to notices on the University portal or the Reserve Forces Training Center Information section of the online Reserve Forces website (www.yebigun1.mil.kr).
Handling of Absences
An unexcused absence from the third training session may result in legal action under the Reserve Forces Act.
Penalties and Disciplinary Measures
- Failure to arrive on time : Supplementary training will be required.
- Failure to bring a valid ID, such as a resident registration card or driver’s license : The participant will be sent home.
- Improper attire : The participant will not be permitted to attend training and will be sent home.
- Failure to follow instructions : The participant will receive a warning and may be sent home.
- Sleeping, talking, or using a mobile phone during training : The participant will receive a warning and may be sent home.
