Interdisciplinary Major
Purpose
The Interdisciplinary Major program aims to enhance graduates’ competitiveness by bringing together multiple departments or majors to provide new educational programs through the systematic integration of academic disciplines. The program is designed to cultivate professionals required by the diversified and advanced industrial society of the 21st century.
Program Overview
- Two or more departments or majors jointly establish and operate a new major program.
- The curriculum is organized by combining courses already offered by the participating departments or majors.
- The program is administered by the department or major responsible for its operation, and students may complete it as either a double major or a minor.

Completion Procedure, Eligibility, and Approval
- Application Period : Before the beginning of each semester (refer to the academic calendar and University website announcements)
- Application Method : Apply online through the Portal under Interdisciplinary Major Application
- Eligibility : Currently enrolled students and students scheduled to return from a leave of absence who have completed at least two semesters (※ Applicants for the Logistics major must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.)
- Review and Approval : Applications are reviewed and approved by the department or major responsible for administering the program.
- Completion Requirements : The same requirements as those for a double major or minor apply.
※ An interdisciplinary major cannot be designated as a student’s primary major.
