Introduction
The Dept. of Political Science & International Studies at Incheon University received approval from the Ministry of Education on October 20, 1981, to establish a department with a capacity of 30 students, and the first class of freshmen entered the department in 1982.
Since political science and international relations is a discipline that aims to contribute to the peace and prosperity of humanity by exploring political phenomena occurring “inside” and “outside” a nation, the Dept. of Political Science & International Studies at our university focuses on fostering creative, independent, and democratic leaders who will lead a democratic civil society.
The educational and research areas of the Dept. of Political Science & International Studies can be broadly said to consist of political science and international relations, but the specific majors are divided into political thought, Korean politics, comparative politics, and international politics.
In the lower grades, education is centered on the theories of the aforementioned fields as the foundation of study, while in the upper grades, in-depth theoretical education is provided.
