Introduction
Since its establishment in 1979, our department has been dedicated to practical research that interdisciplinaryly explores the trade of goods and services, as well as the cross-border movement of people, capital, content, and data. Furthermore, through interdisciplinary education in the field of global business, we aim to cultivate global business leaders equipped with a balanced perspective on theory and practice, as well as integrated thinking skills.
Since becoming a national university in 2013, we have expanded the traditional trade curriculum under the banner of globalization, convergence, and practicality, and have been actively responding to diversifying market demands and changes in the global environment by recruiting new faculty members in the fields of MICE international tourism, data science, culture and entertainment, and digital trade.
In particular, we are promoting field-oriented industry-academia collaboration through participation in government-led Trade Incubator projects, the Regional Specialized Youth Trade Expert Training Program (GTEP), the Capital Area University Specialization Global Convergence College Project, the Youth University Student Convention Project, and the Digital Trade Specialized Course Support Project. Additionally, having been selected for the University Specialization Project for three years starting in 2022, we are actively carrying out curriculum reform, advancement of industry-academia linked education, undergraduate overseas exploration programs, and the recruitment of new faculty members in specialized fields, all under the themes of digital trade, global conventions, and convergence service industries.
