Civil and Environmental Engineering is a discipline that loves nature and manages social infrastructure to improve the quality of life. In other words, it is a field of study that researches various facilities and methods to preserve and develop the natural environment given to humanity in order to provide maximum convenience to humankind.
Civil and Environmental Engineering is the foundational discipline of all engineering and encompasses a wide range of fields. Specifically, it includes extensive and specialized content, extending to areas such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic engineering, coastal and port engineering, construction management, nuclear engineering, surveying and geospatial information engineering, tunnel engineering, environmental engineering, road, railway and transportation engineering, and regional and urban engineering.
Based on these diverse academic fields, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering fosters talents who contribute to national and social development through education in the various theories and technologies related to social infrastructure (SOC) and key facilities associated with public welfare, including land development and conservation, environmental issues, transportation planning and facilities, water resource development, urban planning, and marine resource development.
